V1.6.0 (development) is released

  • Adds the CKKS-based Fourier-extension functional bootstrapping method proposed in High-Precision Functional Bootstrapping for CKKS from Fourier Extension and presented at EUROCRYPT '26 (#1207)
  • Adds COMPOSITESCALING* support for all flavors of regular and functional CKKS bootstrapping, which also adds support for scaling factors larger than 60 bits
  • Includes many optimizations throughout the library reducing the latency for all flavors of bootstrapping (both FHEW/TFHE and CKKS) up to 2x, with extra optimizations applied for the multithreaded setting (see Best_Performance.md for selected benchmarking results)
  • Provides a more granular FHEW/TFHE parameterization mechanism using the method proposed in Optimizing FHEW-Like Homomorphic Encryption Schemes with Smooth Performance-Failure Trade-Offs (#1144)
  • Improves the sparse-secret encapsulation implementation and applies it to all flavors of CKKS bootstrapping (now this is the recommended mode for CKKS bootstrapping)
  • Reduces the probability of failure for all variants of CKKS bootstrapping
  • Significantly improves the documentation throughout the library
  • Code cleanup and many bug fixes
